Exceptional Customer Service

We had our entire house outfitted with window treatments about a year and a half ago by MITS. Yesterday, a little problem arose. I called them; a REAL HUMAN person responded and referred me to the actual real person who fixes these things and was at that time on the road.

A couple of hours later (I’m in Durham NC), the issue was totally fixed; and even though poor Brad had to return a second time with a part in order to perform the repair!

Why, oh why, is this concept so foreign to the vast majority of companies these days, especially larger ones? The answer? greed my friend, greed! They worry about the “Bottom Line”, not realizing the bottom line is provided by customers, not investors.

Egad, it’s so nice talking and dealing with real (and friendly) people rather than someone/something like Amazon’s AI customer service. I know they’ve named it Artificial Intelligence, but from my experience, it should honestly be called AS, as in Artificial Stupidity! — because real people can’t be this stupid!
