Once the order was received he called to schedule installation. Came the next morning and did an excellent job! My husband Rick and I had a very positive experience in working with Brad and the Made in the Shade team to complete window coverings for our new home. Our home is on a lake in Durham and we were able to have shades placed that will give us privacy at night but during the day we have wonderful clear views of the lake from all the lake facing windows. The other windows we chose wide slat blinds. For the front door a shutter covering was placed which has the added feature of swinging open to clean. All shades arrived with 2-3 weeks of ordering. The installation team were efficient, neat & tidy. We definitely would recommend Made in the Shade!

Wow! Awesome customer service and friendly staff. Brad helped my wife and me pick out some window shades for her office that really made the place look great. We needed something to match existing shades in the room and to block the sun. Brad and Made In The Shade really came through for us. Not only did he find something that matched the color perfectly but he walked us through options that we didn’t even know existed. He also helped me repair a shade in another room of the house. I was expecting to replace the whole shade but he saved me a decent amount of money by repairing the existing one. I’m glad we went with Made in the Shade. Thanks Brad!

Brad Hicks from Made in the Shade was absolutely wonderful to work with!! He was communicative (via phone and text and keeping me apprised of everything), patient (even doing an outside consultation due to Covid) and spent a few hours showing me samples and figuring out the best shade for my needs over 3 windows in a home office that get a lot of midmorning light and heat. He was incredibly honest too and came back to fix an issue that wasn’t his fault – a mistake from the vendor (he turned around right away after he had driven away). He also went above and beyond to get a measurement of my crescent-shaped window by etching it (his suggestion to do that!). I wasn’t ordering the window from him (I ordered from an artist), I would recommend him without reservations. Great business, amazing customer service, and really excellent products (and assistance). You can see how beautiful the shade is (close up below) with the window piece he helped measure the window for above it and what the windows looked like before it was installed. We flipped the fabric (his idea) so the effect is really nice. You can’t see with the light behind it but the room looks incredible!
